Wolfdogs of all types need a lot of space to stretch their legs and get exercise. As a rule the enclosure should be big enough so that they can RUN. A 50 X 50 at MINIMUM should be the smallest, no less. The more space the better. Each enclosure needs to be 8 feet high with lean ins/ over hangs so that the animals cannot climb up and jump out OR 10 feet with no overhang/lean in required. These can be made out of cattle panel, chain link etc. You will also need to get dig guards around the bottom of the enclosures fencing. This is so they cannot dig out. Cattle panel seems to work best for this but chain link will work too. The only issue with chain link is it will eventually rust and need to be replaced sooner than cattle panel. It is best to cover the dig guard, many people use gravel, small rocks or wood chips.
To build enclosures you can use chain link or cattle panels. 9-gauge chain link works best as its stronger and sturdier. Its more expensive but worth the cost. Some really beautiful enclosures have been made out of cattle panel as well. Metal posts also work best, some have used wooden posts. Wooden posts might have to be replaced sooner.
Within the enclosures you will need shelters, structures, natural vegetation such as trees and access to water at all times. It is best to use stainless steel water pails and hang them on the fence using a caribeener or clip. Do NOT use plastic buckets as the wolfdogs will destroy them.
